In the 24 hours ending 10 July 07:30 UTC, the war around Iran spread into more direct strikes inside the country. Haqqani, governor of Konarak, said fighter jets hit an Iranian Navy military zone twice on Thursday evening.
Iranian forces also recovered an unexploded warhead from a US cruise missile. The missile was described as built to destroy hardened underground targets.
A shooting was reported near the Imam Reza Shrine. Attackers dressed as Iranian Army and Police personnel opened fire at a security checkpoint, and at least two Basij members were killed.
Ukraine kept pressure on Russia’s fuel supply with another large drone raid. Ukrainian drones hit an oil and fuel terminal in Azov, a Russian port city, and set it on fire.
Ukrainian attack drones also hit more Russian vessels in the Black Sea. The strongest claim put the number at 14 ships overnight, bringing the five-day total to 50 ships hit.
Commercial shipping still moved through the Strait of Hormuz, but most visible traffic used the Iranian northern route. Only one visible merchant vessel completed transit through the Omani southern route.
China landed an orbital reusable booster at sea for the first time. The Long March 10B became the third launcher system to achieve that after Falcon 9 and New Glenn.
