In the 24 hours ending 13 July 07:30 UTC, the US-Iran war kept spreading across the Gulf. US forces carried out new wide strikes on coastal and western Iran.
The US strikes hit several places in Khuzestan Province. The targets included areas around Ahvaz, Behbahan, Dezful, Andimeshk, Abadan, Omidiyeh, Mahshahr, and Shadegan.
US Central Command, the US military command for the region, said the latest wave was complete. It said the strikes hit Iranian air defenses, coastal radar, missile and drone systems, and small boats.
The United States also said it used one-way attack sea drones for the first time in this fight. That adds a new type of US strike system against Iranian assets.
Iran fired more ballistic missiles from southern Iran. Launches were reported from Jam Missile Field in Bushehr Province.
Bahrain came under another Iranian attack. Sirens sounded, explosions were heard, and interceptions were reported near the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet headquarters.
The data also pointed to Muwaffaq Salti Air Base in Jordan as a target. That would widen the direct risk to another US-linked base in the region.
The IRGC, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps, said it struck US military infrastructure in Bahrain. It also said it targeted radar sites in Oman.
Iran’s military said its air defenses shot down a US-made LUCAS attack drone near Bandar Abbas. That city is a key Iranian port on the Gulf.
Commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz stayed very limited. Fewer than five visible merchant ships completed transit, all on the Iranian northern route.
Ukraine also struck Russia’s fuel system again. Ukrainian attack drones hit an oil product terminal at Kavkaz, a Russian port that supported fuel transport to Crimea, and set it on fire.
Ukrainian attack drones also hit Russian vessels again in the Black Sea and Sea of Azov. The data said more than a dozen vessels were hit overnight.
